Glendale borders Phoenix to the northwest, boundary streets including Camelback Road, 43rd Avenue and 51st Avenue. Two major routes across the city are US 60, Grand Avenue, and Loop 101 which crosses Glendale in the north then curves south into adjoining Peoria. Within the city's 55 square miles are a typical mix of residences, commercial premises and farmland, this latter in the southwest close to the New and Agua Fria rivers. There are two main centers for lodging and leisure activities; one is the Sports and Entertainment District by the Glendale Avenue exit of 101, which includes the Jobing.com Arena, the University of Phoenix Stadium and a large selection of shops. The other is 8 miles north along Bell Road, based around Arrowhead Towne Center Mall.
