A panorama towards the southern edge of the Bowl of Fire, surrounded in most directions by the weathered, red and pink sandstone typical of this region. The land slopes up to the north, part of the Gale Hills, while to the south, several miles beyond the edge of the formations, are the Hamblin Mountains bordering Lake Mead.
