This panorama shows the top of Hoover Dam and the southern end of Lake Mead, seen from one of the overflow parking areas along US 93 on the Arizona side of the dam. Also in view are the four water intake towers, and, in the background above the dam, the east and west ends of the new Colorado River Bridge, completed fall 2010. The historical high water mark is evident from the bleached white rocks around the lake; above this the cliffs are dark, weathered and completely lacking any vegetation.
