Atascadero Hotels

The first Marriott hotel in Atascadero opened summer 2015, situated right at the north edge of town, 2 miles from the adjacent community of Templeton, and just off US 101. The 130 room property is part of a small shopping area with Staples, Home Depot and one restaurant, though most of the surroundings are semi-rural, including the Salinas River 800 feet north. All accommodations are studio suites, equipped with refrigerator/microwave; other facilities are free hot breakfast, meeting space, a pool, hot tub and bar. Decor and furnishings have wine-country themes, in keeping with the character of the surrounding countryside.

Holiday Inn Express Atascadero faces US 101 towards the south side of town, within one mile of Helimann Park, Atascadero Lake and the Chalk Mountain Golf Course. Other local attractions such as Morro Bay and the Paso Robles wineries are depicted in large format landscape photographs decorating the hotel's lobby, and the 80 rooms & suites. The familiar Express Start free hot breakfast is available, with the nearest restaurants half a mile away on the far side of the highway, along El Camino Real. For leisure the hotel has a modern fitness center, an outdoor pool and hot tub.

Marriott's second Atascadero hotel is the Fairfield Inn, which occupies a slightly elevated position on the northeast side of US 101; along El Camino Real, 2 miles from the city center, within walking distance of a few restaurants and shops. Hot breakfast and wi-fi are complimentary; the hotel also offers the usual facilities for business, meetings and leisure. The pet friendly property opened fall 2024, part of a larger project that will include a Residence Inn.
