The 110 room, exterior corridor Econo Lodge Buttonwillow has a countryside location beside I-5 exit 257, 20 miles from Bakersfield; east facing rooms have views over empty farmland. The motel offers low rates and limited facilities, just free wi-fi, guest laundry, and a refrigerator/microwave in select accommodations. Also around the interstate exit are half a dozen restaurants (one adjacent), a TA Travel Center and several other gas stations. Accommodations are on two floors, looking out across the palm tree-lined parking lot.
