Coalinga Hotels

The newly constructed, pet friendly Best Western Plus Coalinga opened late 2018, situated in the countryside on the east side of town along Hwy 33, ten miles from Interstate 5. The hotel provides good quality free hot breakfast (take-out version available), while for other meals the nearest restaurants are in the downtown area, between 1 and 2 miles away. Drinks and snacks can be purchased from the lobby level bar. Recreation amenities are an outdoor pool and a fitness center.

Although listed as being in Coalinga, the newly renovated Best Western Big Country Inn is located 12 miles northeast of town, part of a small area of development alongside interstate 5 - access is from exit 334 (Highway 198). Close by are several gas stations and restaurants, but otherwise the surroundings are flat farmland, at the edge of California's Central Valley, though Lemoore NAS is 15 miles east. The hotel is quite small, containing 48 rooms (all containing microwave/refrigerator) all on the ground floor, and its amenities are limited to an outdoor pool, guest laundry and free continental breakfast.

Pet friendly Baymont Coalinga is the westernmost of a small group of hotels by the Hwy 198 exit of I-5, and it has a peaceful, rural location - half a mile from the interstate and set back from the main road, lined by palm trees and bordered by open farmland on two sides. The cozy, refrigerator/microwave-equipped rooms are centered on a secluded courtyard garden with outdoor pool; inside, amenities are free continental breakfast and free wi-fi. There are five restaurants close by.
