Fortuna Hotels

Like most of the small selection of hotels in Fortuna, the Best Western Country Inn is positioned on the south edge of town, just west of US 101 (Kenmar Road/Riverwalk Drive exit), and beside the Eel River. The hotel's 66 rooms have views either west towards the estuarine river or east over a thin belt of partly wooded land beside the highway. Amenities include a swimming pool (half indoor, half outdoor), a 24 hour coffee shop and complimentary full breakfast. Nearby restaurants are Denny's and Subway; others can be found around a mile north towards the center of Fortuna. The hidden redwoods at Grizzly Creek are 20 miles east.

The Comfort Inn & Suites hotel along 12th Street is situated 1.4 miles south of the center of Fortuna, right on the banks of the Eel River and with only a few miles of undulating farmland between here and the Pacific Ocean. Fortuna is in the middle of the coastal redwood forests of north California; the hotel is 22 miles north of the Humboldt Redwoods State Park along highway 101, and a few miles south of sandy beaches near Eureka. The inn has 51 rooms on 3 floors, an indoor pool, exercise room and guest laundry. Free continental breakfast is served and a nearby Denny's restaurant provides other meals, 24 hours a day.

Simple, budget-priced lodging is provided in Fortuna by the Super 8 motel, which has a peaceful location on the west edge of town, close to but not right beside US 101, a short walk from the Eel River. There are three restaurants in the vicinity. Guest rooms are contained within a new-looking exterior corridor, two story building, surrounded by well maintained lawns dotted with a few palm trees and bushes. All are equipped with a refrigerator and microwave. Free continental breakfast is prepared each morning.
