Although one of the older Marriott properties in Orange County, the Fullerton hotel has a fine reputation for its attentive staff, the modern rooms, luxurious bedding, reasonable rates and the wide range of amenities, which include an Irish-themed pub/restaurant (open all day, plus room service), a colorful lobby, gift shop, fitness center, heated outdoor pool, free parking, full service business center and seven meeting rooms - largest single capacity 300. The six floor building faces the 57 Freeway (Nutwood Avenue exit) adjacent to California State University Fullerton; on the border between Fullerton and Placentia, and 6 miles north of Disneyland in neighboring Anaheim.

The all-suite DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in Anaheim/Fullerton has 96 modern, elegant rooms (one or two bed), all with a full kitchen, and some featuring a whirlpool bath. The hotel is located next to the 57 Freeway on the east side of Fullerton, directly opposite California State University, and 7 miles north of Disneyland Resort. Full service amenities include a restaurant (open for breakfast, dinner & all-day room service), a lobby lounge, outdoor pool, hot tub, fitness center and gift shop. Two meeting rooms cater for events of up to 200 people.

The 100 room, seven floor Holiday Inn Express Fullerton opened early 2017 after renovation of an existing property, providing all the usual amenities of this popular, affordable brand, including free hot breakfast buffet, fitness & business centers, outdoor pool and gift shop. The hotel overlooks the busy Riverside Freeway though the immediate location is quiet and secluded, at the end of a short side road just off Harbor Boulevard, adjacent to a bar and gas station. There are many shops a short walk away, to the north. A complimentary shuttle takes guests to and from the convention center.

Howard Johnson Inn Fullerton is centered on a pleasant courtyard garden with outdoor pool and shady trees, out of sight of the busy commercial neighborhood - the hotel sits beside the Riverside Freeway at the Harbor Boulevard intersection, right next to Fullerton Metrocenter. Fullerton Transportation Center is one mile north. The hotel provides a free shuttle to Disneyland, 3.5 miles south; other amenities are free wi-fi, free continental breakfast, a business center, gift shop and meeting space. There are several dozen restaurants within walking distance.

The Days Inn has a northerly location in Fullerton along Imperial Highway, part of an extensive business district though also close to a few large stores including Wal-Mart and Best Buy. Nearby cities are La Habra to the northwest and Brea to the east. Guest rooms are equipped with a work desk, refrigerator and free wi-fi, while the suites additionally have a microwave and sofa bed. Continental breakfast is complimentary, and for other meals there are several restaurants one block west, around the Harbor Boulevard intersection. The other main amenity is a walled outdoor pool/hot tub, at the front of the property though away from the road.

The 45 guest rooms at the exterior corridor Travelodge Fullerton face north or south, looking along the access road (Euclid Street), one block north of the intersection with the Riverside Freeway. A supermarket and several restaurants are close by in the other direction, and there are many more stores one mile east at Fullerton Shopping Center. Motel amenities are a hot tub, free wi-fi and free continental breakfast.
