Jackson's Holiday Inn Express is a clean, new-looking building on the corner of Clinton Road and Sutter Street (highway 49), towards the south side of town and ten minutes walk (or less) from all major amenities, which include a museum, movie theater, supermarket and a selection of restaurants. The hotel has 51 spacious rooms & suites (all with microwave, refrigerator & coffee maker), guest laundry, a business center, a 45-person meeting room and a fitness center, though no pool. Complementary hot breakfast is served each morning.

The 119 room Best Western Amador Inn of Jackson, CA, occupies quite a large site near the center of town, alongside the main road (CA 49) in a wooded neighborhood with views over the Sierra Nevada foothills. The nearby countryside offers many interesting sites within 30 miles including wineries, lakes, old gold mines, caves and golf courses. The inn has a full service Denny's restaurant on the premises and is less than 1/4 mile from various other diners, plus several stores. For leisure, the hotel offers a recently renovated outdoor pool & spa.

Formerly Jackson Lodge, the Quality Inn is a simple, two floor, exterior corridor motel towards the north edge of Jackson, CA, on an east-facing slope partly surrounded by trees. A good selection of restaurants can be found a few blocks south in the center. Breakfast and wi-fi are complimentary. Accommodations include a selection of apartment-type suites. The pet friendly property also offers an outdoor pool.
