Best Western Harbour Inn has a fine location on the Pacific Coast Highway through the center of Sunset Beach, just 500 feet from the oceanfront, and right next to a branch of Huntington Harbor; many of the east-facing rooms have nice views over the water. The place is small and cozy, with just 27 rooms, but all are clean, modern, comfortable, equipped with microwave & refrigerator, and stylishly decorated with tropical themes. Some rooms have one or more of a balcony, sofa bed and hot tub bath. The small size of the property means that other facilities are rather limited - just above average free continental breakfast, a fitness center and basic services for business & meetings. There are many good restaurants & small shops along the main road, and a short drive north or south reaches more unspoilt sections of the Pacific coast, at Seal Beach NWR and Bolsa Chica State Beach.

As its names suggests, Travelodge Ocean Front sits right by the Pacific, separated from the beach only by a side street and a parking lot; many rooms have beautiful ocean views from their balconies. All accommodations contain a microwave and refrigerator. Complimentary amenities at the two floor, interior corridor motel are wi-fi, a newspaper and continental breakfast; for other meals there are several restaurants within one block. The property is situated at the intersection of Warner Avenue with the Pacific Coast Highway, 3 miles from Seal Beach National Wildlife Refuge.
