Hampton Inn Tracy is one of Hilton's older properties; a relatively small, three floor building of 62 rooms, built on the west side of the city a short walk from West Valley Mall and its associated restaurants. Other stores in the vicinity include Home Depot, Ross, Target and a supermarket, plus a 14 screen movie theater. The hotel offers business and fitness centers, both open 24 hours a day, an indoor swimming pool & hot tub, a small patio, and a dining room where the free hot breakfast is provided. Internet access is also complimentary.

The TownePlace Suites is the second Marriott hotel in Tracy; at the MacArthur Drive exit of I-205, on the east edge of town, in a partly residential neighborhood though adjoining a small shopping center, and close to the start of open farmland. The long stay/all-suite property opens late 2024; it offers suites in one-bedroom, two-bedroom and studio layouts, all including a full kitchen. Daily hot breakfast is complimentary. Leisure amenities are the usual pool (indoor) and fitness center.

Most hotels in Tracy, CA, are found on the north edge of town around I-205 exit 8 (Tracy Boulevard); so it is with the Holiday Inn Express, a clean, modern building surrounded by fields, on the north side of the interstate. This quiet location is 1.5 miles from both the town center and the main shopping area in Tracy, the West Valley Mall. Accommodation comprises 77 rooms and 25 suites; all have a microwave & refrigerator, and some of the one or two bedroom suites contain a whirlpool bath. Other facilities include an outdoor pool, health/fitness center, sauna, whirlpool, and free hot breakfast buffet.

The Best Western Luxury Inn of Tracy sits on a residential street near the north edge of town, close to exit 8 of interstate 205 and next to a good selection of restaurants. The inn is about half way between Stockton and the Tri Valley cities of Pleasanton and Livermore, as well as being on the well traveled route from San Francisco to Yosemite National Park and the Sierra Nevada. Contained within the handsome, three floor building are 58 rooms & suites, an exercise room, guest laundry and a dining area where free hot breakfast is served, while at the front is an outdoor swimming pool.

The Fairfield Inn by Marriott hotel in Tracy has a pleasant location at the edge of the countryside on the northwest side of town, a short walk from West Valley Mall and right next to I-205 (exit 6; Grant Line Road). The inn provides basic but good quality accommodation at reasonable rates - there are 64 comfortable rooms (many containing a microwave & refrigerator), and guests can take advantages of amenities such as free continental breakfast, guest laundry, a business center, indoor pool and hot tub.

Centerpiece of Park Inn Tracy is the garden and outdoor pool, overlooked by about half the rooms; the remainder have views over a cluster of adjacent businesses at the Tracy Boulevard exit of I-205, 2 miles north of the city center. Over a dozen restaurants are a short walk away, mostly just south of the freeway, together with several shops including a supermarket. Apart from the pool, the only amenities at the budget-priced, exterior corridor Motel 6 are free continental breakfast, wi-fi and coin-operated laundry.

All accommodations at the pet friendly Microtel Inn Tracy feature free wi-fi, a refrigerator and a microwave, while some (the suites) have one or more of a sofa bed, wet bar and hot tub bath. Rooms face east or west, looking out over a partly rural neighborhood on the north side of the city, beside the most central of the three I-205 exits (Tracy Boulevard). The motel has a sheltered outdoor pool & whirlpool towards the rear, away from the access road, plus a small fitness center. Guests here to work have use of a business center and one meeting room, holding up to 50 people.

Tracy's Econo Lodge provides lodging towards the cheaper end of the market, though still with the two main facilities of free continental breakfast and an outdoor pool, plus a convenience store. The inn has a northerly location in town beside interstate 205 (exit 8; 6 miles from I-5), next to a small shopping center and about a dozen restaurants. All the comfortable guest rooms, on three floors, contain a refrigerator, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker and ironing facilities.
