Holiday Inn West Covina occupies a relatively old building, and its 131 rooms are on the small side, but the property still offers full service amenities at relatively low rates. Like the few other hotels in the area it sits alongside interstate 10 (San Bernardino Freeway) close to Westfield Eastland Mall - on the east side of town, half way between Los Angeles and Rancho Cucamonga. The main facilities are a cafe (open for breakfast & dinner), a lounge/bar, a modern fitness center, 5 meeting rooms, and a nice pool, surrounded by a small garden at the quiet north side of the building. There are many other dining outlets a short walk away along the road past the hotel (Garvey Avenue, known as 'restaurant row').

Hilton's representative in West Covina is the Hampton Inn, a well established property of 129 refrigerator/microwave-equipped rooms, some with views of a small, tree-lined artificial lake, though most of the neighborhood is a busy mixture of shops and other businesses, including IKEA; by the Grand Avenue exit of Interstate 10. West-facing rooms overlook the outdoor pool, beyond which are several restaurants. The free hot breakfast served each morning is also available in a take-out versions for guests leaving in a hurry. The hotel also has the expected facilities for leisure and business (no meeting room, however).

All 126 clean and comfortable rooms at Best Western West Covina Inn are equipped with a microwave and refrigerator; some have one or more of a hot tub bath, extra sofa bed and kitchenette. Those on the north and west sides are quieter as they face away from I-10, which runs right past the hotel - access is from exit 38 (Grand Avenue) - although south-facing rooms have the best view, over the hotel's well maintained outdoor pool and garden. Free deluxe continental breakfast is available, while for lunch/dinner nearby Restaurant Row has almost a dozen restaurants to choose from. Just beyond (half a mile west) is the Westfield Eastland shopping center. Other facilities of the Best Western include a hot tub, guest laundry and several meeting rooms.

The 109 room Fairfield Inn is the first Marriott hotel in the West Covina area, offering clean rooms and good customer service at affordable rates. Free continental breakfast, free internet access, a pool, fitness center and business center are the main amenities. The inn is part of the line of restaurants and other hotels along Garvey Avenue, the northern I-10 frontage road (accessed from exit 37B) - a short walk from the Eastland Shopping Center and a couple of miles east of downtown West Covina.

Days Inn West Covina sits along the southern I-10 frontage road half way between exits 37A and 37B, half a mile from Eastland Shopping Center on the opposite side of the freeway, and a shorter distance from half a dozen restaurants. Guest rooms occupy the upper two storys of a three level building, the ground floor being partly used for parking, and are accessed by exterior corridors all around the central courtyard garden, which is centered on an outdoor pool/whirlpool. Selected accommodations contain a microwave and refrigerator, while the other main motel amenity is free continental breakfast.

Guest rooms at Travelodge Inn West Covina are on two storeys, in three linked blocks, centered on the secure parking lot, which is entered via a covered passageway. The budget-priced motel is located along the northern I-10 frontage road, near the Pacific Avenue exit, within walking distance of the shops and restaurants of Plaza West Covina. Amenities are limited to free wi-fi, a small business center, coin-operated laundry and a microwave in all accommodations.
