The Ascend Collection (formerly Clarion) hotel in Willits has a quiet location, along highway 101 a few blocks south of the town center but set back from the road, and right at the edge of the countryside - west-facing rooms look out over a patch of woodland around Baechtel Creek, towards fields and distant hills. In addition to the usual amenities of outdoor heated pool & free deluxe continental breakfast, this boutique-style hotel has a gift shop and a fully equipped spa offering a wide range of treatments. All 46 rooms contain a microwave & refrigerator, while the Deluxe and Superior rooms have additional facilities. There are 3 restaurants adjacent, others a short drive northwards, and a shopping center one block south.

Like most hotels in Willits, CA, the Best Western is situated on the south side of town along highway 101 (Main Street), in a wooded, residential neighborhood. The newly built, three story hotel sits on a small hill allowing for long distance views towards the forested hills of the Coast Range that surround the town in all directions. Rooms (44 of them) are clean and spacious, some containing a microwave & refrigerator, and those on the east side, away from the highway, are nice and quiet. Free continental breakfast is served, while for dinner there is one restaurant adjacent (Perkos Cafe). Other amenities are a cocktail lounge, outdoor pool, hot tub and guest laundry.
