The view from the summit of 4,395 foot
South Park Peak, just beyond the northwest edge of Joshua Tree National Park, reached by a half mile
loop trail starting near Black Rock Canyon campground. The town of Yucca Valley lies 1,000 feet below to the north, while higher peaks rise in other directions, including the snow-capped peaks of the San Jacinto range to the south and the San Bernardino Mountains in the west.
