Although the amount of water in Chilnualna Creek is low by late summer, 240 foot Chilnualna Falls is still quite impressive, especially when seen from the top of the cliffs opposite - a location reached by an off-trail scramble round the head of a steep ravine. The land drops away in the other direction (south), towards the wooded Merced River valley, site of Wawona and the southwest Yosemite National Park entrance road.
