Fuller Lake sits in a basin at 12,585 feet, 0.9 miles beyond Ice Lake in the San Juan Mountains. Hills rise above on three sides, sloping up over 1,000 feet to several summits including Fuller Peak, Vermilion Peak and Golden Horn.
