SpringHill Suites Sandpoint provides good quality accommodations, with extra living space - all rooms are studio suites, equipped with refrigerator, microwave & sofa bed. Open spring 2024, the 97 room hotel has a northerly location in Ponderay, along US 2, in a lightly developed, tree-lined neighborhood one block north of the main shopping area, where stores include Walmart and Home Depot. Amenities are free daily hot breakfast, an indoor pool/hot tub, an outdoor patio, and a large fitness center. Beer, wine and snacks are available from the onsite bar/lounge.

The 104 room/suite Best Western Plus Ponderay Mountain Lodge is situated at the north edge of town along US 2/95, 2 miles from Lake Pend Oreille. The quiet and secluded property backs on to fields, aspen groves and a wooded creek, and all rooms have views of the surrounding hills, yet just down the street is a large shopping center with restaurants and superstores including Wal-Mart. Leisure facilities are an indoor pool, fitness center, whirlpool and sun deck/patio, while for work, the hotel offers a meeting room, business center and free wi-fi. Free hot breakfast is served each morning.

Pet friendly Days Inn Sandpoint is part of the main shopping center in the area, along US 2/95 on the south side of Ponderay, 2 miles north of the larger town of Sandpoint. The motel is quite small (47 rooms, some containing refrigerator & microwave), and has a quiet location 500 feet from the highway. Inside the decor is suitably rustic, with oak beams and western motifs, and although facilities are limited to free continental breakfast, free wi-fi, a sauna and hot tub, the rates are low and the staff are welcoming.
