Open summer 2022, Fairfield Inn Suites Laurel is part of the main commercial area in town, at the US 212 exit of interstate 90, quite close to the railway. Walmart is just across the road and there are a small selection of restaurants also within walking distance. The Yellowstone River flows past a short distance south, though the National Park (northeast entrance) is still 110 miles away. The four floor, 78 room/suite hotel serves free hot breakfast every morning.

Fifteen miles southwest of Billings along I-90, the first chain hotel in the small town of Laurel is the 3 floor Best Western Yellowstone Crossing, situated next to exit 434 of the interstate, near a selection of fast food restaurants and 2 blocks from Wal-Mart. There are 60 good sized rooms available, half containing a refrigerator & microwave, and a few with extra amenities like a sofa bed or hot tub bath. The AAA Two Diamond-rated hotel has a fitness center, indoor pool, whirlpool & games room, and provides free breakfast.
