Like most facilities in town, Hampton Inn Whitefish is located along US 93, south of the center, set back a little from the highway and bordered to the west by a belt of pine woodland. Nearby are various restaurants and stores, including Safeway supermarket half a mile north. Besides the regular guest rooms, the hotel has a selection of suites featuring a sofa bed, wet bar and extra living space. Leisure amenities are an indoor saltwater pool, hot tub, and 24 hour fitness center, plus a landscaped garden complete with pond. Hot breakfast, wi-fi and airport transportation are complimentary.

TownePlace Suites by Marriott Whitefish opened summer 2018, in wooded surroundings along US 93 a little way south of the town center, within walking distance of the Whitefish River, a small lake and a shopping/dining center. The hotel contains 81 suites on three floors, available in one-bedroom, two-bedroom and studio configurations, and all featuring a fully equipped kitchen - accommodations catering for either long or short stay guests. Breakfast and wi-fi are complimentary. The hotel has one meeting room, business/fitness centers and an outdoor pool.

Best Western Rocky Mountain Lodge is part of a corridor of restaurants, shops and other businesses along US 93 (Spokane Avenue) on the south side of Whitefish, though the hotel has a quiet, peaceful setting, and west-facing rooms look out over undeveloped, wooded land. The town center is one mile north, while the edge of Whitefish Lake is a mile further, and the main attraction hereabouts (Glacier National Park) is 17 miles east along US 2. Accommodations at the 79 room lodge are very clean & spacious, and include several kind of suites with added amenities such as a fireplace, refrigerator, microwave, hot tub bath, sofa bed and private balcony. Other hotel features are a floor to ceiling lobby, an outdoor pool, fitness center, meeting/banquet space and free continental breakfast.

The pet friendly Baymont Inn Whitefish is set back a little from the main road and shielded by trees from adjacent buildings; a simple, interior corridor, two storey motel that offers an indoor pool, hot tub and free wi-fi. There is one restaurant adjacent and several more within easy walking distance. The motel sits along US 93 on the south side of town, 2 miles from the edge of Whitefish Lake.
