Cactus Petes Resort is the main hotel/casino in the little settlement of Jackpot, along US 93 (Great Basin Highway) in far northern Nevada, less than one mile from the Idaho stateline. The accommodation tower overlooks the lightly developed surroundings, which include the affiliated 18-hole golf course, but mostly just empty desert plains in all directions. The casino features a 26,000 square foot gaming floor with over 600 slot machines, served by four restaurants and two bars, with regular live entertainment. Leisure facilities are an oversized outdoor pool and a fitness center, plus a styling salon. Various suites are available, with one or both of a hot tub bath and private balcony.

The Econo Lodge is a simple, affordable property with guest rooms on three floors, accessed by interior corridors, looking out across open desert; the motel is situated at the north edge of the little settlement of Jackpot, beside US 93 just south of the Idaho stateline. Wi-fi, coffee and continental breakfast are complimentary; there are no other amenities. Pets are welcome.
