4WD vehicles can drive right to the base of the Little Finland plateau, but an alternative hiking approach, which also visits other patches of eroded sandstone and starts from a point accessible to 2WD vehicles, starts along Gold Butte Road 3.5 miles south of Whitney Pocket.
