Rainbow Vista is a viewpoint along the scenic drive in Valley of Fire State Park, where the road reaches the top of a low ridge revealing a vast area of multicolored rocks stretching for many miles northwards, rather different to the dark red cliffs found further south. This panorama is from a sandstone dome 150 feet above the vista point, from where several miles of the road are in view, crossing open land to the north. The unpaved track on the right of the highway is short spur to Fire Canyon and Silica Dome. The sky shows many vapor trails from planes flying north-south to and from Las Vegas.
