The Holiday Inn Express hotel is situated on the east side of Grants, near I-40 exit 85 - part of the main lodging area in town, and also within walking distance of various small shops, restaurants and gas stations. The hotel has generally larger and more modern rooms than its neighbors, and a good range of amenities - free hot breakfast, indoor pool, hot tub, fitness center, business center and a small meeting room. All rooms and suites feature a kitchenette, sofa bed and free internet access.

The Best Western is one of several small hotels on the southeast side of Grants near I-40, and the closest to the interstate, adjacent to a 24 hour Denny's restaurant and a Walmart superstore. The place has two floors, exterior corridors and 60 guest rooms, all of which contain a refrigerator and microwave. The parking lot has enough space for large trucks. The pet friendly hotel offers amenities of a hot tub and indoor pool, free wi-fi and free continental breakfast.

Most hotels in Grants are southeast of the town center along Santa Fe Avenue (former Route 66); the Best Western is located on the west side of the road just a quarter of a mile from exit 85 of I-40. The 51 room hotel has a rural setting, with most guest rooms looking out over the desert, and to the edge of the El Malpais lava fields a mile to the west. Several restaurants & lounges are adjacent, and the shops and other facilities of downtown Gallup are 2 miles north. The hotel serves free hot breakfast; it also has an indoor pool, whirlpool, a business center and a meeting room.

The clean, newly renovated Quality Inn Grants, along Santa Fe Avenue, is a well managed property of 58 rooms (all containing a refrigerator/microwave) on 2 floors, with interior corridors and amenities of an indoor pool/whirlpool, health & fitness center, business center, free internet access and free hot breakfast. Guest rooms face either north or south, and have sweeping desert views, especially to the east. There are several restaurants nearby and plenty more a few miles west towards Grants town center. Pets are welcome, for a fee.

Upper floor rooms at Days Inn Grants have good views east towards the wooded slopes of Horace Mesa, while in the other direction, the edge of the vast El Malpais lava beds is visible. The pet friendly inn is part of a group of over half a dozen motels along the eastern approach to town, Hwy 117 from I-70 exit 85. There are several restaurants adjacent and a Wal-Mart store just down the street. The standard range of amenities includes free wi-fi, free continental breakfast, a pool & hot tub and a basic business center. All guest rooms have a refrigerator and microwave.

Super 8 Grants accommodates guests in 69 interior corridor rooms, facing north or south, looking out over a group of gas stations, restaurants, and other motels on the southeast side of town, just off I-40 at exit 85 (Santa Fe Avenue). Some rooms have a microwave/refrigerator, while a few (the suites) contain a hot tub bath, wet bar and separate living area. Suites with a full kitchen are also available. The standard free continental breakfast is provided each morning. People here to work can take advantage of a business center, free wi-fi and a small meeting room.
