Ruidoso Downs Hotels

Hampton Inn Ruidoso Downs opened summer 2018 after full renovation of an existing property, and it offers a good range of facilities including free hot breakfast (takeout version available), a 24 hour convenience store selling drinks, snacks, sundries & cookable meals, an indoor pool/whirlpool, a fitness center and a 24 hour business center. All guest rooms contain a microwave & refrigerator, while the suites have a sofa bed. The hotel is situated on the north side of US 70 just east of the Hwy 48 junction, backing on to a wooded hill. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.

On the east side of Ruidoso Downs, Best Western Pine Springs Inn has a particularly secluded location set back from the road, surrounded by pine forest and overlooking wooded mountains in all directions. The hotel sits on the south side of Hwy 70, opposite Ruidoso Downs Racetrack/Billy the Kid Casino and half a mile from the center of town. Also within a few miles are the Travel Center Casino, Ski Apache, and the adjacent town of Ruidoso. The main hotel amenities are an outdoor heated pool, exercise facility, courtyard & gardens, guest laundry and meeting space. Free full breakfast is served.

The Days Inn of Ruidoso Downs is a typical budget-priced roadside motel, with rooms (all containing refrigerator/microwave) on two floors accessed by exterior corridors, on two sides of the parking lot, which has a restaurant at the front. The motel backs on to woodland, and it has a generally peaceful location, on the south side of US 70, separated from the main part of town further east by a patch of undeveloped forest. There is a Wal-Mart store a few minute's walk down the road, and Billy the Kid Casino just beyond. Free continental breakfast is provided.
