Caprifoliaceae (honeysuckle) is a relatively small family, with just four US genera (leycesteria, lonicera, symphoricarpos and triosteum) and 51 species, some of which are non-native. Plants are mostly shrubs or vines, with opposite leaves and small clusters of narrow, tubular flowers, opening to five lobes. Flowers are either radially or bilaterally symmetric. They are supported by a small calyx with five sepals.
