The view from the end of the Haynes Ridge Overlook Trail, right at the edge of the limestone caprock escarpment that marks the eastern boundary of the Texas High Plains. Further to the east, and 600 feet below, lies a great expanse of red hills, ravines and cliffs, while the ridge itself is quite flat and covered in green vegetation.
