Pleasanton Hotels

Half way between Pleasanton and Jourdanton along Hwy 97, the Hampton Inn enjoys a peaceful, semi-rural setting, set back a little from the highway, and with some rooms looking south across empty fields. There are several restaurants close by, however, and a Wal-Mart just down the street. All accommodations contain a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and ironing facilities; there are also a selection of studio suites which contain a wet bar, sofa bed and a larger work desk. The local airport is 1.5 miles north and there is a Wal-Mart Supercenter a few minutes walk away. The hotel provides free hot breakfast and has all the usual amenities, of pool, fitness center, business center, meeting space and free wi-fi. All rooms contain a refrigerator and microwave.

Marriott are represented in Pleasanton by the Fairfield Inn (open summer 2016), a 92 room/suite hotel along Hwy 97 southwest of the city center, with a quiet location set back from the main road behind a restaurant; rooms at the rear look out across fields and woodland. The hotel adjoins a Walmart store to one side and is within walking distance of several other restaurants. Hot breakfast and weekday evening cocktails are complimentary. Also available are a fitness center, outdoor pool and guest laundry. A microwave and refrigerator are installed in all accommodations.

Microtel Inn Pleasanton is one of several dozen new hotels in south Texas built partly to serve the expanding oil and gas operations in this region. It enjoys a rural location along a very short side street south of Hwy 97, about half way to the adjacent town of Jourdanton, yet is still within walking distance of several restaurants and two stores, Bealls and Wal-Mart. The modern, good-sized rooms contain a refrigerator/microwave, while some have a full kitchenette. There is no pool, but the hotel does provide all the other standard amenities, of fitness center, business center, free wi-fi and free continental breakfast.

The Super 8 of Pleasanton, Texas, is a 44 room, 2 floor, exterior corridor motel, located along Hwy 97 a mile southwest of the town center, in a countryside setting but with a few restaurants and small shops nearby. The local airport, several small lakes, South Texas Regional Medical Center and the adjacent city of Jourdanton are all within a few miles, while San Antonio is 35 miles north. The motel charges low rates and has amenities of free continental breakfast, an outdoor pool, free wi-fi, basic business services and a refrigerator/microwave in each room.
