Zapata Hotels

The recently built Holiday Inn Express hotel in Zapata, TX, opened in 2007 on the south side of town along highway 83, right on the shoreline of Falcon Lake. The center of Zapata is 2 miles north on US 83, and the new development at Falcon Lake Estates is half a mile to the south. The hotel has 70 rooms & suites, the latter containing a microwave/refrigerator; those on the east side have the best views as they are just 100 feet from the water's edge. The outdoor pool is also on the east side, even closer to the shore. Wi-fi and hot breakfast buffet are complimentary, while other facilities include a fitness center, business center and meeting/event space.

2.5 miles south of downtown Zapata, the 56 room 54064 has a countryside location overlooking fields and woodland overlooking the Arroyo Veleno arm of Falcon Lake, in far south Texas. The hotel is sits on the west side of US 83, the main highway from Laredo to McAllen. All rooms are on the ground floor, divided into several blocks surrounded by the parking lot, and offer a microwave, refrigerator and free wi-fi; the closest is just 150 feet from the lakeshore. Amenities include an outdoor pool, picnic pavilion and complimentary full breakfast.
