This panorama shows the Green River as it emerges from the angled sandstone strata forming Split Mountain Canyon, and flows southwards across open farmland. The foreground to the south contains a shallow ravine (Cottonwood Wash), along which runs the 1.5 mile Desert Voices Trail - this starts along a short side road that also leads to a campground, picnic area and boat launch by the river. The road forks off the main park scenic drive (Tour of the Tilted Rocks), 2.5 miles east of the Dinosaur National Monument visitor center by the dinosaur quarry.
