Days Inn Castaic lies 6 miles north of Six Flags Magic Mountain - reached by a quick drive along I-5 which runs past the motel one block west. Free continental breakfast is provided each morning and there are around a dozen restaurants (and a shopping center) within walking distance to the north, in the town center. Accommodations are on two floors, accessed by exterior corridors, and arranged around three sides of the parking lot; other facilities include free wi-fi, a basic business center and a small outdoor pool. Rooms contain a microwave an refrigerator.

Two major nearby leisure destinations are the main reasons to stay in the Rodeway Inn at the small town of Castiac - Six Flags Magic Mountain amusement park is 6.5 miles south at the edge of Santa Clarita/Valencia, while Castiac Lake State Recreation Area is a couple of miles north. The 120 room inn is easily reached from interstate 5, on the east side between exits 176A & 176B, and while the immediate surroundings are not very inspiring (a truck depot), the hotel itself is pleasant enough, and has amenities of an outdoor heated pool, newsstand, free continental breakfast, guest laundry and plenty of parking. There is one restaurant adjacent and a few more just up the road.
