North facing rooms at Travelodge Sylmar have views of the San Gabriel Mountains, which rise steeply up just half a mile away, on the far side of I-210; the hotel sits beside the Roxford St exit of the freeway, near such locations as UCLA Olive View Medical Center, Wilson Canyon Park and Stetson Ranch Park. The motel is quite a large building, of older design with exterior corridors, and it has a good sized outdoor pool and hot tub on the sunny south side, adjacent to the extensive parking area. Other amenities include free wi-fi, free continental breakfast, a business center, a boardroom and a microwave & refrigerator in some of the accommodations.
