The Doubletree Golf Resort (formerly Desert Princess) has a northerly location in Cathedral City at the corner of Vista Chino and Landau Boulevard, one mile from exit 126 of Interstate 10, bordered by residential estates to the north and east, and the Whitewater River to the southwest. Many of the 289 guest rooms have views over two lakes towards the 27 hole golf course beyond, and across the Coachella Valley to the distant San Jacinto Mountains. Other leisure amenities are an Olympic-size pool, sports courts, driving range and putting green. Accommodations include a selection of 1,000 sq ft suites with sofa bed and wet bar. All rooms have either a private balcony or patio. Onsite dining outlets are a cafe serving breakfast and a restaurant/bar open for lunch, dinner, evening drinks and room service.

The extended stay/all-suite Homewood Suites hotel in Cathedral City is situated in a peaceful, residential area four miles north of the city center, at the end of the side road leading to the Cimarron Golf Resort. There is one restaurant in the resort, but other area facilities are towards the town center, close to Hwy 111. Palm Springs Airport is 5 miles northeast, and the hotel is within easy reach of Indian Wells, Rancho Mirage & Palm Desert as well as Cathedral City. Open late 2020, the Best Western Plus is part of a small group of businesses at the Bob Hope Drive exit of Interstate 10, near Thousand Palms, 6 miles northeast of downtown Cathedral City. There are several restaurants within walking distance, and Flying J Travel Center, while the Agua Caliente Casino/Resort is just the other side of the freeway. To the west are miles of empty desert plains, stretching to the mountains of Joshua Tree National Park. Hotel amenities include an outdoor pool/hot tub, free wi-fi and free hot breakfast buffet.
