Just about the southernmost hotel in Fresno, the newly built Holiday Inn Express sits at the end of a quiet side street close to shopping and dining, near the Jensen Avenue exit of Highway 99. The 85 rooms and all the public areas are typically clean & modern, and the hotel has a good list of amenities, including free hot breakfast, free internet access, an outdoor pool, guest laundry and basic business services. All rooms contain a microwave & refrigerator; the suites have divided living/sleeping areas, and a sofa bed.

Fresno Convention Center is just two blocks from the Best Western, a traditional two floor motel with exterior corridors, located at the corner of L and Inyo streets. Chukhansi Park and Courthouse Park are also close by, as are plenty restaurants, mostly along Kern Street. The pet friendly Days Inn is one of the first hotels to welcome travelers arriving in Fresno from the south, along Hwy 99 from Bakersfield - the exterior corridor building sits at the end of a short side street off Jensen Avenue, 3 miles south of the city center, near a group of restaurants and small shops.
