For longer stay visitors to the Concord - Pleasant Hill area, the Residence Inn provides 126 large suites in a quiet, wooded, residential district alongside I-680. Homewood Suites Pleasant Hill opened late 2018, built next to I-680 (west side), just north of the Hwy 242 intersection, within walking distance of the many stores and restaurants of Sunvalley Shopping Center. Downtown San Francisco is 28 miles west, all along the freeway. The hotel provides both free hot breakfast and free evening socials (Monday to Thursday), while other snacks and light meals can be purchased from the 24 hour convenience store. All accommodations are suites, featuring a full kitchen and separate living area; food for cooking can be ordered via the complimentary grocery delivery service. The hotel also has a bbq area, outdoor pool, lobby lounge, fitness center and meeting space for up to 50 people.
