DoubleTree by Hilton San Bernardino is one of the older properties of this upscale, full service brand, built beside the Waterman Avenue exit of I-10, a few miles south of the city center. The complex includes two seven floor accommodation blocks, a large parking lot and a 10,000 sq ft conference center capable of staging events for up to 600 people. The on-site restaurant is The Cutting Board, serving lunch & dinner; there is also a cafe for snacks & drinks, and a dining area where buffet breakfast is served. Leisure facilities are an outdoor pool, right at the front of the property but shielded from the main road by hedges, plus a whirlpool, games room and fitness center. A selection of one bed suites are available, for guests needing extra space and facilities.

Residence Inn San Bernardino is situated opposite another Marriott property (the Fairfield Inn), near the Tippecanoe Ave exit of interstate 10. This is an upscale, well managed, long stay hotel featuring studio, one bed or two bed suites that all contain a full kitchen, pull-out sofa, extra comfortable bedding; some have a fireplace. Guests are treated to free full breakfast each morning, a free light dinner in the evening (Mon-Thu), and a complimentary grocery shopping service for those preferring to use the cooking facilities. A fitness center, spa, indoor pool and sports court help to make any stay a relaxing experience.

The Staybridge Suites is part of the main lodging area in San Bernardino, just north of I-10 and east of I-215, part of a small business park adjoining the San Bernardino Health Center, within walking distance of the (usually dry) Santa Ana River. There are many restaurants in the vicinity. This is an all-suite property - all accommodations feature a fully-equipped kitchen, plus a sofa bed. Daily hot breakfast buffet is complimentary, as are the evening socials, Monday-Wednesday. The hotel has a fitness center, an outdoor pool, and a patio with bbg grill & fireplace.

Homewood Suites by Hilton San Bernardino is built next to another new Hilton Group property (Hampton Inn) at the center of a large business/commercial district on the north side of Interstate 10. The hotel is within walking distance of various restaurants and large stores, such as Office Depot, Costco, PetSmart and Sam's Club. All accommodations are suites, in studio, one bedroom and two bedroom configurations, and all contain a full kitchen. Complimentary dinner & drinks is offered Monday through Thursday, plus free hot breakfast every morning. A convenience store sells snacks and cookable meals. Exercise facilities are the usual pool (outdoor), hot tub and fitness center. A 700 sq ft meeting room can cater for events of up to 50 people.

Regarded by many as the best hotel in San Bernardino, the Hilton Garden Inn is well-connected to all neighborhood locations via nearby I-10 and I-215, yet enjoys a quiet setting along a side street next to the Santa Ana River, part of the San Bernardino Business District on the south side of the city near the freeway intersection. The hotel has its own restaurant/bar, Great American Grill, open for breakfast & dinner, and a convenience store selling drinks, snacks and meals cookable using the in-room microwaves. Guests here to work can take advantage of the 24 hour business center, free internet access and meeting/event space, while leisure facilities are the usual pool, hot tub and fitness center.

Hampton Inn San Bernardino enjoys a quiet location in a business district along Hospitality Lane, half a mile north of I-10 near the I-215 intersection. There are several large stores a short walk away to the south, plus a selection of restaurants, and the Loma Linda University Healthcare Center is 1.5 miles south. The hotel provides free hot breakfast and has a convenience store where drinks, snacks and light meals can be purchased - cookable using the microwaves in each guest room. An outdoor pool, whirlpool, 24 hour business center and meeting space for up to 50 people are some of the other amenities.

Open early 2023, the Home2 Suites by Hilton is an affordable all-suite/extended stay hotel, offering rooms in one bedroom and studio layouts; all have a full kitchen. Guests may also cook meals using the firepit on the patio, beside the outdoor pool. Free hot breakfast is complimentary. The 113 room hotel is part of a business park on the north side of Interstate 10, close to shopping and dining, and 3.5 miles from SBD International Airport. Also available are business/fitness centers and a 390 square foot meeting room.

The Best Western was newly constructed in 2023, right next to I-10 at the Waterman Avenue exit, in the middle of an extensive business/commercial district, including many restaurants; an eight-minute drive from San Bernardino International Airport. Also nearby are a number of healthcare facilities, such as Loma Linda University Medical Center. Free full breakfast and a 24 hour fitness center are some of the hotel facilities.

Half way (50 miles) between Palm Springs and Los Angeles, the Fairfield Inn by Marriott provides 94 nice clean rooms & mini suites (which contain a microwave/refrigerator), free hot breakfast and free internet access. The new looking hotel is part of a shopping/restaurant complex alongside I-10, 1.5 miles east of the I-215 intersection - close to San Bernadino Golf Club and the Santa Ana River. Guests appreciate the reasonable rates, the high standard of cleanliness and the good customer service, as well as the decent range of amenities, which also includes an indoor pool, hot tub, patio, fitness center, convenience store and laundry.

Although rates are quite low, the Quality Inn has become one of the top rated hotels in San Bernadino because of its quiet location, clean rooms, good customer service and the well kept grounds - the property is surrounded by trees and lawns, and has a sheltered outdoor pool/hot tub at one side. The Santa Ana River flows past just to the north, with a footpath running alongside, and beyond are the lush fairways of San Bernadino Golf Club. The hotel is reached from exit 73 (Waterman Ave) of I-10, but is just far enough (0.4 miles) to escape the traffic noise. The surrounding neighborhood has a mixture of shops and other businesses, plus at least ten restaurants within half a mile. Amenities at the Comfort Inn include free continental breakfast, a guest-use computer, laundry, copy/fax service, and a refrigerator in each of the 118 rooms.

The Days Inn is one of the few hotels on the north side of San Bernardino, situated along Highland Avenue opposite a small summit (Perris Hill) and within sight of many much higher peaks of the San Bernardino Mountains; half the rooms face east and most of these have mountain views. All accommodations are equipped with a refrigerator and microwave. The grounds include a nice outdoor pool, well away from the main road, and the inn also has an onsite restaurant, with more dining choices one block east around the Del Rosa Avenue intersection.

Adjacent to I-215 (the 5th Street exit), Econo Lodge San Bernardino is a traditional two floor, budget-priced, roadside motel of 54 basic, clean, exterior corridor rooms, a smallish outdoor pool and a hot tub. Free continental breakfast is available, and while there is no restaurant very close, several selection can be found either half a mile east along D Street, or the same distance south near Carousel Mall.

The pet friendly Super 8 San Bernardino is a relatively large property of 153 guest rooms, in two exterior corridor blocks overlooking the outdoor pool and parking lot, which is lined with tall palm trees. Free wi-fi and free breakfast are the two main amenities. The hotel is part of a row of restaurants, shops and other businesses along Hospitality Lane, backing onto to Interstate 10, a short distance east of the I-215 intersection.

Guests at Rodeway Inn San Bernardino are a short walk from Inland Center Mall, plus other large stores, and a good choice of restaurants. The medium-sized (60 room) motel has exterior corridors, and its only facilities are free wi-fi, coin-operated laundry and free tea/coffee. I-215 runs past on the west side; access is from the Orange Show Road intersection. The city center is a few blocks north.
