This panorama is taken from a promontory on the west shore of Tenaya Lake, looking towards the granite summits of Polly Dome to the north and Tenaya Peak to the west. Most of the lake is enclosed by pine forest, but edged by extensive beaches of sand, pebbles of slickrock, many of which are within easy reach of the Tioga Road that runs along the northwest shore.
