Under Best Western management since summer 2016, the Boomtown Casino Hotel is a large and colorful property with a prominent location beside exit 4 of Interstate 80, 8 miles from Reno and 23 miles from Truckee in California. Most of the 316 guest rooms enjoy fine views of the Sierra Nevada foothills, and the hotel has a generally rural setting, close to walking trails along the Truckee River. All accommodations contain a microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker. There are six restaurants on the premises, together with a fitness center and good sized outdoor and indoor pools.
