Plainview's Holiday Inn Express hotel opened in 2005, built on the west edge of town just northwest of exit 49 of I-27 (Olton Road; US 70) - next to the Wal-Mart and JC Penney stores. The three story hotel has 43 rooms and 19 suites, most having views over flat farmland though there are various restaurants and other shops in the vicinity. For leisure, the Holiday Inn Express offers the standard amenities of an indoor pool, whirlpool and (24 hour) fitness center. The on-site meetings facilities can cater for events of up to 35 people. Free hot breakfast buffet is prepared each morning.

Comfort Suites Plainview sits along Grandview Drive, one block southeast of exit 49 of I-27, and 2.5 miles west of downtown Plainview. This is a modern, two floor, all-suite hotel that also contains a business center, indoor pool & hot tub & fitness center, and provides microwaves & refrigerators in each room. For dining there are at least six restaurants within walking distance, though free breakfast is provided on-site, including a few hot items.

The pet friendly Quality Inn hotel in Plainview, Texas, has 75 rooms (all containing refrigerator & microwave) on two floors, an outdoor pool and a business center.
