San Angelo Hotels

The Courtyard is built next to two Marriott sister hotels (SpringHill Suites, Residence Inn) in a lightly developed neighborhood near the west edge of the city, between US 67 and Sherwood Way. Many restaurants, various large stores and a movie theater are within half a mile. The four story hotel contains 103 rooms & suites, a lounge/bar (serving breakfast. lunch, dinner & evening drinks) and three meeting rooms, maximum capacity 200 people. The Courtyard is one of several new hotels constructed partly in response to increased demand for lodging by workers in the nearby oil fields.

Like the adjacent Courtyard and SpringHill Suites, the Residence Inn is a modern Marriott hotel on the west side of San Angelo, positioned along a quiet connecting street between Business 67 and Houston Harte Expressway. The main shopping center in the area is Sunset Mall, one mile south. The four story property has suites with full kitchens, and are available in two bedroom, one bedroom and studio floorplans. There are many restaurants close by, and the hotel provides complimentary hot breakfast and evening light dinners. Also available are a meeting room, convenience store, bbq grills, fitness center and an indoor/outdoor pool.

Staybridge Suites San Angelo offers 80 suites on 3 floors, catering for long stay visitors to the city. The location is a mile southwest of downtown, along Knickerbocker Road - TX 584 - opposite the sports grounds of San Angelo College. All accommodations feature a fully equipped kitchen. There is not much else in the immediate vicinity, with the nearest shops and restaurants being a few blocks north or south. Interior amenities at the Staybridge Suites include a gift shop, fitness center, business center and a 60 person meeting room (900 sq ft). Half the rooms have views over the quiet, sheltered garden, which contains an outdoor pool, hot tub, patio and barbecue area. Pets are welcome. Both hot breakfast and evening receptions are complimentary.

Hilton Hotels are represented in San Angelo by the 64 room Hampton Inn, located along Hwy 306 on the southwest side of the city, close to a selection of shops, restaurants and other businesses. The nearest mall (Sunset Center) is one mile west. The hotel is a well established, three floor property that provides free hot breakfast and is adjacent to an IHOP restaurant. A pool and hot tub are available for relaxation, while a business center and free internet access cater for those here to work.

The second Marriott hotel in San Angelo is the SpringHill Suites, a handsome four floor property containing 96 studio suites, all equipped with a sofa bed, pantry (refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, sink), and separate areas for sleeping, living & working. The hotel has a full service lounge/bar, a 24 hour convenience store and a dining area for the free breakfast; for other meals there are various restaurants within walking distance to the south, along Sherwood Way. Leisure facilities are an outdoor pool, whirlpool, fitness center and putting green. The hotel is located along Southwest Boulevard, close to US 67 on the west side of San Angelo.

Clarion Hotel San Angelo enjoys a scenic, tree-lined location on the south banks of Rio Concho, within walking distance of the city center yet situated in a quiet, residential area along a side street, adjacent to San Angelo Riverwalk. The nearest restaurants are four blocks west; other places close by include Rio Concho Park, McNease Convention Center and San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts. The 148 room hotel has a pool, sundeck & picnic area outside, while interior facilities are a business center, convenience store and meeting space for up to 400, conference-style. Free hot breakfast is provided.

The Wingate by Wyndham has a south central location in San Angelo just off Knickerbocker Road - part of a long line of businesses, restaurants and other hotels, though also close to undeveloped fields and woodland along Red Arroyo. The city center is 3 miles north. Guest rooms feature a refrigerator, microwave, tea/coffee maker and executive desk. Free hot buffet breakfast is provided each morning; other facilities are a pool, fitness & business centers, meeting room and boardroom.

Just across the street from Hawthorn Suites San Angelo is a shopping center with Sam's Club, Walmart and a good selection of restaurants - along Sherwood Way (US 67), half a mile from Houston Harte Expressway near the west edge of the city. In the other direction, the road soon exits the developed area and enters open countryside; the next major town is Fort Stockton, 160 miles away. The hotel was newly constructed in 2014, and it features affordable all-suite/long stay lodging; all guest rooms have a full size refrigerator, a microwave, stove and sink. Daily hot breakfast and wi-fi are provided free of charge.

Although occupying an older, exterior corridor building, Ramada San Angelo presents a handsome appearance, clad in stone, with red and green paintwork. Most rooms face north, looking out across the parking lot and outdoor pool towards the adjacent businesses, which include a clinic, gas station and restaurant. The hotel is one of the more central in the city, just one mile north of the downtown area, along US 87 close to Riverside Hills Golf Club and OC Fisher Lake (though this has been dry in recent years). Interior amenities are free continental breakfast, meeting space, a business center and a microwave/refrigerator in all guest accommodations.

The Holiday Inn Express is situated 3 miles west of downtown San Angelo along Houston Harte Expressway (US 67) - a residential district, close to the edge of the suburbs and the start of farmland. The recently opened hotel has 28 rooms and 40 suites, with all 68 having a microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker, while other amenities are 24 hour fitness & business centers, outdoor pool and a 700 sq ft meeting room, holding up to 30 people. Complimentary hot breakfast buffet is prepared each morning.

The 89 room Candlewood Suites faces Houston Harte Expressway (south side), at the west edge of San Angelo, part of a developing commercial area that includes several other newly opened hotels, plus a selection of large stores, restaurants and bars. The city center is 4 miles away. The hotel features one bedroom and studio suites with work desk and a full kitchen, catering equally well for extended stays as short visits. Free wi-fi, barbecue grills, a pool and business center are some of the other amenities.

All guest rooms at Best Western North Bryant Inn are equipped with a microwave & refrigerator, and they have views over the peaceful, residential neighborhood along Hwy 87, half a mile north of the US 67 junction and a similar distance from a pleasant city park beside the North Concho River. There are no restaurants adjacent, but some can be found a few blocks north or along nearby Chadbourne Street to the east. Free full breakfast is provided, and the hotel also has the usual three leisure amenities of a pool (outdoor), fitness center and whirlpool.

The Pearl on the Concho has a peaceful location overlooking the Concho River (south side), in a residential neighborhood, though guests are still within walking distance of the many attractions in the center of San Angelo, a short distance north. 333 Restaurant and Saloon, on the premises, is open for breakfast, lunch, diner & evening drinks, while the many leisure amenities include an indoor pool, sundeck, putting green, games arcade and billiards tables. On the far side of the river is San Angelo Park, part of a corridor of greenery and trails that extends all the way through the city.

Although built in 2004, the Fairfield Inn of San Angelo retains its clean, new appearance, and offers 73 spacious, well maintained rooms, plus several executive suites that contain a microwave, refrigerator and sofa-sleeper. The hotel is located along Knickerbocker Road, on the southwest side of town opposite the Angelo State University campus - a few minute's walk from 3 restaurants and half a mile away from a shopping center. Free hot breakfast is provided, while for relaxation guests can use the outdoor pool, hot tub and fitness center.

Comfort Suites San Angelo is located along the north frontage road of the Houston Harte Expressway (US 67), next to the exit for TX 853, Arden Road - in a rural area right at the west edge of the city. There are a good selection of restaurants nearby, and all important sites in San Angelo are within a 4 mile drive. For leisure, the hotel has an outdoor pool, hot tub and exercise room. The free hot breakfast includes a selection of hot items, and is available in take-out version for guests in a hurry. All accommodations are studio suites, with sofa bed, microwave and refrigerator.

Guests at Quality Inn San Angelo are within walking distance of parkland adjoining the South Concho River; the hotel has a quiet, semi-rural location along US 87/277 on the south side of the city, next to a couple of restaurants. Angelo State University is just over a mile away. The exterior corridor, refrigerator/microwave-equipped rooms are on two floors, and some have views of the small outdoor pool and patio at the front. Free hot breakfast is served each morning. The hotel also has a business center and meeting space for up to 100 people.

Suburban Studios San Angelo adjoins another Choice Hotels property (Clarion), and the two share some facilities including a fitness center, indoor pool/hot tub, marketplace, meeting/event space and full service restaurant/bar. Accommodations are studio suites, some with kitchenette but most with full kitchen. The hotel has a quiet location on the south side of Rio Concho, next to a railway bridge.

Sunset Mall is half a mile south of Microtel Inn San Angelo, and there are various restaurants and shops closer, plus a movie theater, though the immediate surroundings are quite lightly developed. The hotel faces the south side of US 67, near the west edge of the city. All accommodations contain a microwave & refrigerator, while the suites have a wet bar. Rates are low, as amenities are limited; just free continental breakfast, free wi-fi, a business center and coin-operated laundry. Pets are welcome.

San Angelo's Days Inn hotel is a compact, 55 room property towards the southwest edge of town beside Loop 306 - just south of the highway, at the College Hills Boulevard exit. There are many shops, restaurants and businesses along Hwy 306, including the Sunset Shopping Mall just to the west. The recently renovated hotel offers free continental breakfast, meeting space, a business center and an outdoor pool. Rooms are on two floors, accessed by exterior corridors, and overlooking the parking lot.

Although just a few blocks west of central San Angelo, the Econo Lodge enjoys a relatively quiet location in a residential neighborhood, a short walk from Santa Fe Park beside the North Concho River. The southbound section of US 277 runs past on one side, leading to Houston Harte Expressway a short distance north. The motel is housed in a relatively old building, partly interior corridor, partly exterior, with a reasonably-sized parking lot all around. Inside, facilities are a pool, business center, billiards room and a dining room for the free continental breakfast. Accommodations are available with refrigerator and microwave.

Centerpiece of Super 8 San Angelo is an enclosed garden with outdoor pool, sundeck and a few shady trees, overlooked by about half of the 80 guest rooms; the others have views across the spacious parking area towards the adjacent buildings. The motel has a south-central location in the city, at the junction of US 277 with Hwy 388, 1.5 miles from Angelo State University. All rooms contain a microwave and refrigerator, while some additionally feature a kitchenette and/or hot tub bath. Free continental breakfast is served each morning, with eight items. There are several restaurants nearby, along the two main roads.

The Rodeway Inn of San Angelo has a southwesterly location along the 306 loop road, at the northwest corner of the intersection with Knickerbocker Road, and about half way between US 67 and US 87. This is a busy commercial neighborhood; there are several restaurants nearby (in addition to one on the premises), and important sites within a mile include the San Angelo Community Medical Center, Sunset Mall and Bentwood Country Club. The hotel has an outdoor pool/hot tub, cocktail lounge and exercise room; free continental breakfast is served.
