Hampton Inn Selma provides free hot breakfast each morning, available in a take-out version (Mon-Fri) for guests leaving early. There are numerous restaurants within walking distance, mostly on the opposite (south) side of I-35 around the Forum at Olympia Parkway, one of the largest shopping centers in Texas. The 85 room hotel is located on the northern frontage road, just east of the intersection with Loop 1604, backing on to a tree-lined residential neighborhood; it offers an indoor pool/hot tub, 24 hour convenience store, fitness center, business center and a welcoming, lounge-style lobby with plenty of comfortable seating and areas for quiet working.

Open spring 2022, the TownePlace Suites in Selma has a scenic, wooded location beside the Olympia Hills golf course, along the southern I-35 frontage road, 16 miles northeast of downtown San Antonio. The shops and restaurants at The Forum at Olympia Parkway are less than a mile away, and there are several closer dining outlets, within easy walking distance. All accommodations include a full kitchen; they are available in one bedroom, two bedroom and studio configurations. Exterior facilities are a pool and a patio, with bbq grills, fire pit and walk-up bar, all overlooking the 14th hole of the golf course. Hot breakfast is complimentary.

Although located in a busy area of shops and other businesses around the I-35/Loop 1604 junction, Holiday Inn Express Selma enjoys a peaceful setting, 300 feet back from the highway overlooking open fields to the south. Also on the south side is a secluded outdoor pool, whirlpool and garden, while the property is bordered by a restaurant to the east and a Costco store to the west. The hotel has four floors and 84 rooms & suites, the latter containing a microwave and refrigerator. Free hot breakfast buffet is provided. This location is 12 miles from San Antonio International Airport and 4 miles from Randolph AIr Force Base.

Free hot breakfast, an outdoor pool/hot tub, fitness & business centers and a 12 person meeting room are the main amenities of Comfort Inn Selma, a mid range hotel along the northern I-35 frontage road near Retama Park racetrack, 16 miles northwest of downtown San Antonio. The 88 rooms feature pillow top mattresses, microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker, and face east or west, looking out over patches of undeveloped land close to the rocky valley of Cibolo Creek. The free hot breakfast includes a few hot items, while for other meals there is one restaurant just down the road and more on the far side of the interstate.
