New Braunfels Hotels

The well reviewed Courtyard hotel in New Braunfels is located half a mile southwest of the I-35/Hwy 46 intersection, along the interstate frontage road though positioned back by 200 feet, surrounded on three sides by pecan woodland and within sight of the Guadalupe River. The spacious grounds include a resort-style outdoor pool and a riverside terrace at the rear, and a large parking lot at the front. The onsite restaurant is open for breakfast & dinner, and while the secluded location means there are no other dining places in the vicinity, many can be found a mile or so away, on the far side of the freeway. The hotel has four meeting rooms, the largest suitable for events of up to 250 people.

The Homewood Suites by Hilton opened in 2016, adding to the extended stay lodging choices in New Braunfels. All the suites (two bedroom and one bedroom) feature a fully equipped kitchen, separate areas for living & sleeping, and a sofa bed. Snacks and cookable meals can be purchased from the 24 hour convenience store, or from a nearby supermarket. Complimentary amenities include daily hot breakfast, weekday evening light dinners, wi-fi and a local area shuttle. Events of up to 60 people can be accommodated in the 605 square foot meeting room. The hotel is part of the Village at Creekside development, near Resolute Health Hospital - one mile south of Interstate 35 along FM 306.

Hilton Garden Inn New Braunfels provides free hot breakfast each morning and has a 24 hour convenience store selling drinks & snacks. There are many restaurants half a mile southwest, at the Hwy 46 exit of Interstate 35; the immediate surroundings are quite lightly developed, a mix of fields and other hotels. Towncenter Mall is 2 miles away. The hotel is a typically large, modern and fully-featured establishment, also offering business & fitness centers, both also open 24 hours, an outdoor pool, meeting space for up to 100 people, and a restaurant/bar (Great American Grill), serving breakfast and dinner, plus evening drinks. W-fi is complimentary.

Like most hotels in New Braunfels, the 74 room Country Inn is close to Interstate 35 - along the western frontage road, just north of the Hwy 337 intersection. There are many restaurants in the vicinity, on the opposite side of the freeway. The hotel provides good quality free hot breakfast each morning; wi-fi is also complimentary, as are coffee and cookies, in the lobby. Accommodations include a selection of studio suites with sofa bed and extra living space. Other amenities are an outdoor pool, a fitness center and a firepit.

The Hampton Inn is part of a large group of hotels at the main I-35 exit serving the city, at the intersection with Hwy 46 from Seguin. The busy surroundings include many restaurants and such stores as Home Depot, Kohl's and Office Depot, though the four story, 87 room/suite hotel enjoys a relatively quiet location, 400 feet back from the access road, bordering a residential area. The outdoor pool has a secluded position at the rear, in shadow from mid afternoon onwards; also available are a whirlpool and fitness center. The free hot breakfast is provided in a take-out version for guests leaving early (Mon-Fri). People here to work have use of a business center and a 40 person meeting room.

Unlike most New Braunfels hotels which are close to the city center, in suburban surroundings, the Wingate by Wyndham has a rural setting mostly surrounded by farmland - along FM 306, a quarter of a mile from the I-35 intersection, around which are several restaurants and gas stations. On the far side, and so still within easy walking distance, Towncenter at Creekside has numerous shopping, dining and entertainment outlets. In the other direction, FM 306 reaches Canyon Lake in 14 miles. The modern, pet friendly hotel offers all the usual amenities, including business/fitness centers, meeting space, indoor pool/whirlpool and a sundry shop. Wi-fi and hot breakfast are complimentary.

The four story Holiday Inn Express hotel in New Braunfels (open early 2016) has 87 brightly decorated rooms & suites, and all the standard facilities of this mid range brand: fitness center, pool, business center, meeting space and guest laundry. Hot buffet breakfast and wi-fi are complimentary. The pet friendly property is part of a group of hotels along Business Route 35, towards the northeast edge of the city, easily accessed from I-35 but far enough away from the interstate to escape the traffic noise; set back behind an adjacent building. There are many restaurants one block south, along Hwy 46.

Candlewood Suites New Braunfels is accessed from the western I-35 frontage road, about half way between exits 189 and 190; the city center is a couple of miles west, while Schlitterbahn Water Park is 3 miles away. All the oversized accommodations are suites, either studio or one bedroom, and all feature a full kitchen, work desk and free wi-fi. Food for cooking can be purchased 24 hours a day from the onsite convenience store, or from the local supermarkets, HEB or Walmart, both about 3 miles away. Over 20 restaurants are within half a mile (near exit 190 of the interstate). The hotel also offers a fitness center, hot tub, gazebo and boadroom, though no swimming pool.

As with the majority of hotels in New Braunfels, the Best Western is situated close to the Hwy 46/I-35 junction, though is further from the interstate than most so offers rather quieter accommodations. The two story, exterior corridor property borders a wooded residential district to the rear and is just a quarter of a mile from the Guadalupe River, though the nearest public access is quite far (2.5 miles). Hotel features are free hot breakfast, an outdoor pool/whirlpool, free wi-fi and a business center. Adjacent businesses include Kohl's, Office Depot and a selection of restaurants.

The Best Western in New Braunfels is part of a large group of modern, interior corridor hotels along the western I-35 frontage road, close to the busy intersection with Hwy 46, around which are numerous restaurants and shops. Guest rooms are on two storys, and have views over the secure, tree-lined parking lot towards the adjacent properties, which are separated by patches of undeveloped land. Free hot breakfast is prepared each morning. Leisure facilities are the usual fitness center and outdoor pool, this at the front though not too close to the main road. One meeting room accommodates events of up to 40 guests.

One of two Marriott hotels in New Braunfels, the Fairfield Inn occupies a handsome, four floor building on the west side of Interstate 35, within 3 miles of the city center, Schlitterbahn Water Park, Towncenter at Creekside and Walmart Distribution Center. Accommodations comprise regular rooms (1 king or 2 queen), and studio suites, which feature a sofa bed and microwave; all rooms contain a refrigerator. Hot buffet breakfast is complimentary and there are many restaurants within walking distance, to the south. Leisure facilities are a pool (indoor), hot tub ad fitness center, with machines and free weights.

The spacious guest rooms at Comfort Suites New Braunfels are equipped with a microwave, coffee maker and refrigerator, and have views of fields and several adjacent hotels, along the frontage road on the west side of Interstate 35. The nearest restaurants are half a mile south, around the Hwy 46 junction. Complimentary amenities are hot breakfast (take-out version available), wi-fi, all-day coffee and a weekday newspaper, while for leisure, the hotel has a fitness center and an outdoor pool/hot tub, on the sunny south side of the property. Business guests have use of a meeting room (with wet bar) and a business center.

With 57 guest rooms the Sleep Inn is a little smaller than the neighboring hotels, but offers comparable amenities, and has a slightly quieter setting, positioned 450 feet from nearby Interstate 35 behind an adjacent property, surrounded by fields in the other directions. Schlitterbahn Water Park is 3.5 miles away to the west, on the far side of the Guadalupe River, which is popular for tubing and rafting. The hotel's free breakfast comes with a selection of hot items, and there are plenty of restaurants within half a mile. A refrigerator and microwave are installed in all accommodations. The usual three leisure amenities of a hot tub, fitness center and pool are provided, plus a business center and a small meeting room.

North-side rooms at Howard Johnson New Braunfels look out towards several adjacent restaurants and a patch of woodland beyond, while those to the south have similar views - the interior corridor hotel sits at the edge of a busy commercial district west of Interstate 35, centered on the intersection with Hwy 46. The main two amenities are an outdoor pool, concealed at the back of the property away from the road, and free breakfast, which includes a few hot items. Guest rooms feature a microwave, refrigerator and free wi-fi. The hotel also has a business center, open 24 hours.

The reasonably-priced Microtel Inn New Braunfels provides comfortable accommodations with a small range of amenities, principally free continental breakfast, free wi-fi and an outdoor pool. The guest rooms, some equipped with microwave/refrigerator, are housed in a three floor, interior corridor building beside I-35 at the Hwy 46 exit, adjacent to several restaurants and a short walk from the shops of New Braunfels Marketplace. The Guadalupe River flows past just beyond, lined by several parks and trails.

Days Inn New Braunfels occupies an older, exterior corridor building, surrounded on all sides by the parking lot, and with a small outdoor pool tucked away at the rear. I-35 runs right past the front; access is from exit 189, Hwy 46. Four restaurants are within a few minute's walk. The standard complimentary amenities of wi-fi and breakfast (continental) are provided, together with a business center, a fitness center and a guest laundry facility. Guest rooms contain refrigerators and coffee makers.

All guest rooms at the two floor, exterior corridor Travelodge New Braunfels contain a refrigerator and microwave, while several suites are also available, with extra living space, a kitchenette and a sofa bed. General motel amenities are free continental breakfast, free wi-fi, coin-operated laundry and a small outdoor pool. Rooms are in two blocks, either side of the parking lot. Nearby stores include Kohl's and Home Depot, and there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The motel sits along Hwy 46, near I-35 exit 189.

Super 8 New Braunfels is an affordable, interior corridor property with amenities of an outdoor pool, gazebo, guest laundry, free wi-fi, and a basic free breakfast. Pets are welcome. The motel faces the southern I-35 frontage road, near exit 186, Walnut Avenue, one mile south of the city center. In the vicinity are several restaurants, and stores including Walmart. All accommodations are provided with a microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker.

Accommodations at Rodeway Inn New Braunfels are divided between two exterior corridor blocks at either side of a central garden area with outdoor pool and hot tub. Half the rooms have pool views while the remainder overlook the adjacent businesses, which include several restaurants; the motel faces Interstate 35 at the Hwy 46 intersection, 3 miles from Schlitterbahn Water Park and the city center. Free continental breakfast is provided each morning, and free wi-fi. Select rooms contain a kitchenette; all have at least a microwave and coffee maker.
