Exactly half way (20 miles) between Big Spring and Midland, the small west Texas town of Stanton has a limited selection of lodging, and the main place is the recently built Comfort Inn, located beside Interstate 20 exit 156 (TX 137) - in a rural setting adjacent to a few restaurants and gas stations, and half a mile from the downtown area. Free breakfast (with hot waffles), free internet access, an indoor pool/hot tub, fitness center, business center and meeting room are the main amenities. All rooms are nicely decorated and contain a refrigerator & microwave; some have a sofa bed and kitchenette.

Super 8 Stanton is a compact, three floor, interior corridor property, open 2015, that faces the southern I-20 frontage road, close to exit 156, the junction with Hwy 137 from Lamesa and Big Lake. The motel has plenty of parking space, with room for trucks, and interior amenities of a business center, fitness center, free wi-fi and free, eight item continental breakfast. Restaurants are few in number in Stanton; there are a couple near the interstate exit, and others in the city center, one mile south.
