The small Texas Panhandle town of Wheeler has just one hotel, the Baymont Inn - a clean, modern and recently built property of three floors, a business center, meeting space, an indoor pool/hot tub, a fitness room, and a dining area for the free breakfast. The large and comfortable rooms all feature a large TV, mini refrigerator, coffee maker & free internet access. Most have long distance views over the flat farmland that surrounds the hotel on most sides; the hotel has a countryside location right on the south edge of Wheeler along US 83, 15 miles from Shamrock on I-40. The nearest restaurants are in the town center, one mile north.
