The view from Needles Overlook - a promontory at the southwest corner of the Hatch Point plateau, which forms the eastern boundary of the vast area of canyons and mesas that surround the Colorado River as it flows through Canyonlands National Park. The plateau lies to the east, with the La Sal Mountains visible beyond, and from here (clockwise) the panorama includes the Abajo Mountains, the Needles area, Cataract Canyon, the Henry Mountains and the Island in the Sky.
