Tardy Geyser has a small vent at the center of a ring of undulating, light grey sinter about 15 feet in diameter, with a beaded texture. Eruptions are semi-regular, separated by a few minutes or several hours, and likewise lasting for either minutes or hours. Water is ejected up to 20 feet in the air, later flowing down a short run-off channel into the adjacent Firehole River.
