Novato Hotels

One of several quiet, relaxing hotels in the countryside south of Novato, the Courtyard by Marriott is well placed for visitors to the Sonoma county wineries, the redwood-forested mountains of the Marin Peninsula, and the many attractions around San Francisco Bay. The 136 rooms have views over fields, woodland, and Highway 101 which runs past on the west side; also nearby are a couple of restaurants though most services are a mile north towards Novato town center. The main services at the Courtyard are a cafe (open for breakfast only), guest laundry, 24 hour convenience store, fitness center, hot tub and outdoor pool - the latter part of a sheltered garden area to the rear of the hotel.

Open late 2024, the Residence Inn is the second Marriott hotel in Novato, offering all-suite/extended stay lodging - accommodations are available in two bedroom, one bedroom and studio configurations, and all have a full kitchen. Daily hot breakfast is complimentary. The hotel has a central location in town, beside US 101, within walking distance of shops and restaurants in the downtown area. All the expected facilities for business, meetings and leisure are also provided.

The Inn Marin and Suites has a secluded setting, mostly surrounded by trees, at the end of a short driveway; a peaceful location, despite US 101 passing by on the east side. The lobby is at the front of the property, together with a restaurant, function space and an outdoor pool, while the accommodation blocks are at the rear, either side of the spacious parking lot. Continental breakfast and wi-fi are complimentary. Old Town Novato is 3 miles north, while to the south are various wooded preserves including Indian Valley, Loma Verde and Ignacio Valley. A shopping center and other restaurants are within walking distance.

Best Western Novato Oaks Inn is the top rated hotel in Novato, CA, and has a great location alongside US 101 in the countryside a few miles south of the town center but set back from the highway so escaping the noise of traffic. Many of the 107 large, well furnished rooms (on 3 floors) have fine views over the partly wooded hills either side of the freeway; all have a refrigerator and some contain a full kitchen. On the hillside at the rear of the hotel is a sizeable outdoor pool, patio area and spa, while indoor amenities include an elegant lobby complete with library, and a dining area where free breakfast is served. Guests may travel to local area businesses and shops using the hotel's complimentary shuttle service. The two main natural attractions in the area are Point Reyes National Seashore (30 miles) and Muir Woods National Monument (20 miles).

Two miles north of downtown Novato and 25 miles from San Francisco, the Days Inn enjoys a scenic, countryside setting on the west side of US 101, backing on to empty fields. The microwave & refrigerator-equipped guest rooms are divided between three blocks, in a triangular arrangement around a pleasant garden with outdoor pool, hot tub, patio and gazebo. Free continental breakfast is provided; for other meals, the best choice of restaurants nearby is in the city center. The complex also includes a separate garden on the south side, with bbq facility. Other amenities are a fitness center, laundry and event facilities for up to 150 guests.
