Grand Junction Hotels

The full service Doubletree is the largest of a group of hotels along Horizon Drive, either side of I-70 exit 31, close to the local airport; a generally busy location, though west-facing rooms have peaceful views over the greens and fairways of the adjacent Bookcliff Country Club. The hotel occupies a ten acre site that includes landscaped gardens, 3 tennis courts, a putting green, gazebo, outdoor pool and sun deck, all of which are also situated on the secluded west side of the property. There are many restaurants in the vicinity and one (Bistro 743) on-site, providing breakfast, lunch, dinner & room service, plus a sports bar open until midnight every day. Accommodations include a selection of suites with mountain views, separate living areas and extra sofa bed; some have a hot tub bath.

The Holiday Inn hotel on the north side of Grand Junction is built along a quiet side road facing I-70 - one mile from exit 31 of the interstate and 1.5 miles from the airport. This is a substantial property of four floors and 120 modern, well appointed rooms & suites, the latter with full kitchenette facilities. The on-site restaurant/bar is open all day (room service available), and there are various other dining outlets within walking distance. Leisure facilities are the expected pool (indoor), whirlpool and fitness center, while for meetings/events the hotel has a business center and 3 rooms accommodating events of up to 140 guests.

One of many hotels along Horizon Drive on the north edge of Grand Junction, close to the airport, the 136 room Courtyard by Marriott is a modern, full service property with a quiet location, since although close to interstate 70, the inn is far enough away to escape all the traffic noise. Free hot breakfast is provided; for other meals guests can walk to half a dozen restaurants within 3 blocks. Indoor facilities are a sports court, pool, hot tub, business center and 5 meeting rooms (5,300 square feet of space).

Residence Inn Grand Junction shares a parking lot with another Marriott hotel (the Courtyard); both are new, well regarded properties, with good staff and modern facilities. The 104 suites at the Residence Inn contain separate living/working/sleeping areas plus a full kitchen - equipped with dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator and stove. Food for cooking can be ordered and delivered via the hotel's complimentary grocery shopping service. Full breakfast and evening social hour (Mon-Thu) are provided free of charge; other facilities are an indoor pool, hot tub, sports court, games room, and two meeting rooms.

In downtown Grand Junction, the Hampton Inn enjoys a central yet relatively quiet location one block from the main road (US 50), within walking distance of many shops, restaurants, bars and other businesses. Rooms face east, overlooking the city, or west, with views towards the sandstone cliffs of Colorado National Monument. Hotel highlights are the free hot breakfast (take-out version available), an outdoor pool, a fitness center, the luxury bedding in all guest rooms, and the selection of suites, which include a hot tub bath and/or sofa bed.

The Home2 Suites is part of a small group of hotels towards the west edge of Grand Junction, along 24 Road, half way between I-70 and 70 Business, within walking distance of shopping & dining, and also of the Colorado River, less than one mile south. All accommodations feature a sofa bed and a full kitchen; food for cooking can be purchased from the onsite, 24 hour convenience store. Hot breakfast is complimentary. Recreation amenities are a fitness center and an indoor pool.

The SpringHill Suites is the third Marriott hotel in Grand Junction, open 2011. Accommodation comprises 100 spacious studio suites equipped with microwave, refrigerator, work desk and sofa bed, part of a handsome, modern, five story building located close to the city center along Main Street, one block from US 50. All the expected amenities are available, including free wi-fi, complimentary hot breakfast, an indoor pool, guest laundry, fitness center, business center and a small (25 person) meeting room. A complimentary shuttle is provided to Grand Junction Airport, 5 miles north.

With 290 rooms, the Clarion Inn is the largest hotel in Grand Junction, and offers many facilities. For dining the on-site restaurant/bar/lounge is open for breakfast, lunch & dinner, while for leisure guests have use of indoor and outdoor pools, a whirlpool, sun deck, fitness center and games room - this latter part of the 2 story atrium lobby. All guest rooms were refurbished in 2009, and some have extra amenities like a refrigerator, microwave, sofa bed and wet bar. The location is just north of interstate 70, exit 31, and half a mile from the local airport. The hotels meeting/banquet facilities can accommodate events of up to 392 attendees.

The Ramada is one of over a dozen hotels near Grand Junction Regional Airport, 3 miles north of the city center, at the Horizon Drive exit of I-70. Rooms are on two stories, accessed by exterior corridors, and half (those on the east side) have nice views over a large garden with outdoor pool and sundeck. All accommodations are equipped with a microwave, refrigerator and pillow top mattresses. Continental breakfast, wi-fi and a local area shuttle (to the airport, train station & bus station) are complimentary. A business center and 1,500 sq ft of meeting space are available for those here to work. There is one restaurant adjacent.

One of relatively few hotels on the west side of Grand Junction, the Holiday Inn Express has 89 rooms & suites on 4 floors, located near the edge of town in a small commercial district just north of US 50. Downtown Grand Junction is 4 miles southeast, the Colorado River is half a mile south, and just a short walk east is Mesa Mall, reputedly the premier shopping venue in western Colorado. The hotel has an indoor pool and serves free hot breakfast buffet. A few miles south is the approach road to the red cliffs and canyons of Colorado National Monument.

The Tru by Hilton is a downtown Grand Junction hotel, one block from the Convention Center, close to various bars, restaurants, shops, galleries, museums and city buildings. Free hot breakfast is served each morning, with the option of dining outside on the patio. The hotel has a business center and a 24 hour fitness center, though no pool. The convenience store/market is also open 24 hours. The lobby includes lounge area, games tables and plenty of comfortable seating.

The Candlewood Suites hotel is located on the west side of Grand Junction, opposite a sister IHG property (the Holiday Inn Express) - both are a short walk from Mesa Mall, and one block from US 6/50. Interstate 70 (exit 28) is one mile north. The Candlewood Suites provides spacious, well-equipped, all-suite accommodation, with 97 rooms, a convenience store, business center, 24 hour fitness center, barbeque grills and guest laundry. All the suites have a full kitchen, DVD player and executive desk.

The Fairfield Inn is one of many hotel choices in central Grand Junction, located next to Two Rivers Convention Center along Main Street, one block from US 50. Other nearby places include Colorado Mesa University (1 mile), the Colorado River (0.7 miles) and Mesa Mall (2.5 miles). Rates are relatively low but facilities are good - free breakfast, pool, fitness center, free wi-fi, guest laundry - all accompanied by the usual high Marriott standards of customer service. For meetings there are two rooms available, largest capacity 45 people.

The 57 room Comfort Inn Grand Junction hotel has a northerly location along Horizon Drive, half a block north of I-70 exit 31, on the southeast side of the highway; this is half a mile from the local airport and 4.5 miles from downtown Grand Junction. The inn serves complimentary deluxe continental breakfast (with a few hot items), while for other dining there are 4 restaurants adjacent and others nearby. Leisure amenities are an indoor pool, hot tub, fitness center and games room.

The full service Grand Junction Quality Inn hotel occupies a large building with 107 rooms on 3 floors, part of a group of hotels and businesses along Horizon Drive, just southwest of exit 31 of I-70. Rooms at the rear of the hotel overlook the golf course of the Bookcliff Country Club, and the far side of the highway is mostly residential. The center of Grand Junction is about 4 miles to the southwest. The hotel has a heated pool, covered in winter but outdoors in summer, complete with landscaped patio area. Free full breakfast is served, and the hotel also has a restaurant on site ('Good Pastures'), for lunch and dinner. All rooms include a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, ironing facilities and cable TV.

Baymont by Wyndham is a typical exterior corridor property, the guest rooms on two floors overlooking the parking lot, which includes truck spaces. East-facing rooms overlook the Highline Canal, and have distant views of the Book Cliffs to the north. The hotel is one of the closest to Grand Junction Airport (one mile), and is within walking distance of a selection of restaurants. Wi-fi and continental breakfast are complimentary. The Baymont also offers a fitness center and a meeting room.

The Days Inn along Horizon Drive is one of a group of hotels either side of interstate 70 exit 31, on the north side of Grand Junction close to Walker Field airport. The downtown area is 4 miles south though the immediate vicinity has a small selection of shops and restaurants. The pet friendly motel has 80 rooms on 2 floors with exterior corridors, a hot tub and an outdoor heated pool. Deluxe continental breakfast (including a few hot items), wi-fi and airport transportation are complimentary.

There are 49 guest rooms at Econo Lodge Grand Junction, contained within a brightly-colored, two floor building facing Interstate 70 at the Horizon Drive intersection, less than a mile from Grand Junction Regional Airport and 3 miles north of the city center. The pet friendly motel is surrounded by plenty of parking spaces and is within walking distance of a selection of restaurants and gas stations. Free enhanced continental breakfast is provided each morning, though there are few other amenities.

Accommodations at Super 8 Grand Junction have views east over a residential area or west, looking across the main road (Horizon Drive) towards Book Cliffs Country Club. There is no shortage of restaurants within walking distance. The Super is part of a long line of motels and hotels either side of I-70 on the north edge of the city, within sight of the Book Cliffs a few miles further north. The three floor, interior corridor property offers free continental breakfast and an outdoor pool. All rooms contain a microwave and refrigerator.
