Winter Park Hotels

Winter Park Mountain Lodge is an imposing, five floor, resort-style property overlooking US 40, at the foot of a wooded slope, with fine views up and down the Fraser River canyon. The Winter Park ski area is within easy walking distance, on the far side of the highway, as are several hiking trails. Mountain bikes, skis and snowboards are available for rent. A free shuttle takes guests to local attractions. Hotel facilities are an indoor pool, two hot tubs, and a restaurant/bar, Moffat Station. Breakfast and wi-fi are complimentary. Accommodations include studio suites, equipped with fireplace and extra living space.

The only chain hotel in the Rocky Mountain ski resort town of Winter Park is the Best Western Alpenglo Lodge, a nice, clean, welcoming establishment with a peaceful setting - along the main road (US 40), but enclosed by trees, adjacent to a small creek, and enjoying views over mountains in all directions. Besides the nearby ski facilities and other recreation sites in the Arapaho National Forest, the hotel is also close (35 miles) to the west side of Rocky Mountain National Park, and provides cheaper accommodation than places nearer the entrance. The hotel has 58 rooms, some containing microwave/refrigerator, plus amenities of a large hot tub, free hot breakfast, a newsstand and meetings/banquet facilities.
