Monte Carlo
With over 3,000 rooms & suites, Monte Carlo is one of the larger hotels in Las Vegas, though recently overshadowed by
Aria and the huge CityCenter complex to the north and west. Both are owned by
MGM Resorts International, and are linked by a free transit system that extends north to another of the group's properties,
Bellagio. Monte Carlo is relatively restrained compared to some of its more showy neighbors, with an elegant entrance to the casino along the Strip, and a 32 tower rising above, subtly illuminated in white. The hotel aims to provide European style and service at mid range prices, and is modeled on the venerable casino in Monte Carlo, Monaco.
Facilities at Monte Carlo are similar to other large Las Vegas resorts. There is around 100,000 of gaming space including 1,600 slots, a poker room and many table games. Eight restaurants cater to all tastes and budgets, while the range of lounges and bars includes the
Monte Carlo Brew Pub, featuring good food, local draft beer, and live music. The main entertainment is the
Jabbawockeez dance show; other attractions include three outdoor pools, a French-style wedding chapel, the
Spa & Salon Monte Carlo, a selection of shops at the
Street of Dreams, and 24,000 sq ft of meeting/event space.
