Aransas Pass Hotels

Like all chain hotels in Aransas Pass, the Candlewood Suites is situated beside Hwy 361 on the east side of town, near the causeway to Port Aransas. All accommodations are spacious studio suites equipped with full kitchens and sofa beds, contained within a three story building that extends around three sides of a pretty tropical courtyard garden with outdoor pool. All guests are treated to free hot breakfast each morning; for other meals there is one restaurant adjacent and others two blocks west towards the city center, along Commercial Street. The hotel also offers a 24 hour business center, gift shop, fitness center, laundry and free wi-fi.

The newest hotel in Aransas Pass is the 88 room Fairfield Inn by Marriott, constructed early 2017 on the west edge of the city along Business 35, near the junction with Hwy 35. Redfish Bay is 3 miles away. Nearby is a store and restaurant, though most of the surroundings are undeveloped, and as the hotel is set back a little from the main road, all rooms and quiet and peaceful. The facilities are as expected: free wi-fi, free hot breakfast, a fitness center, swimming pool and a small meeting room.

Affordable, all-suite accommodation is provided by Microtel Inn Aransas Pass, a modern hotel along Goodnight Avenue (Hwy 361), 8 miles from the Gulf of Mexico beaches at Port Aransas. The suites have a refrigerator & microwave, and food for cooking can be purchased from HEB supermarket, in the city center two blocks west. In the other direction, the shoreline of Redfish Bay is just a few minute's walk away. Continental breakfast and wi-fi are complimentary, while other amenities are an outdoor pool, hot tub, gazebo, business center and guest laundry.

The Days Inn occupies quite a large site, with lawns and the parking lot at the front, overlooked by the two floor, exterior corridor accommodation blocks; there is additional parking at the rear, and beyond that, more grassland. Rates are low, and amenities limited - free wi-fi, guest laundry and free continental breakfast. The surroundings are mostly residential, though with a few restaurants in the vicinity.
